Toro submits plans to expand Bloomington headquarters
The Toro Company is asking the city of Bloomington to approve plans for a major expansion to its headquarters off of Lyndale Ave. S.
The Business Journal reports the 75,000-square-foot, three-story addition would sit somewhere on the 15 acres next to its single-story HQ building.
The company is requesting the residential land be rezoned, according to Larry Lee, Bloomington's director of community development. Toro wouldn't comment on the expansion.
Toro, which makes lawn mowers, snowblowers and a variety of other power equipment reported strong results for its fiscal second quarter, the Business Journal says.
Last year, Toro began building a 450,000-square-foot distribution center near Des Moines, Iowa.
