A malfunctioning train caused problems in St. Cloud Friday night.
The St. Cloud Police Department reported just before 9 p.m. that a train malfunction "caused railroad cars to separate from each other."
This in turn caused the blocking of four railroad crossings in the city – at 4 1/2 Street NE, East St. Germain, 7th Street SE, and 15th Avenue Southeast.
Police warned that the blockage would likely be in place for several hours, and that proved to be the case.
It wasn't until just after 4 a.m. that the police department provided an update stating that the train had been moved and all roads reopened.
