Train sweeps street cleaner down tracks in Wayzata
A street sweeper's brushes got caught on railroad tracks, halting the vehicle, and the driver had to flee the street-sanitation rig before a Burlington North Santa Fe train hit it early Wednesday morning, FOX 9 reports. He suffered minor injuries, the station reports.
The train hit the sweeper broadside and pushed it down the tracks before coming to a halt, the Star Tribune reported.
The train was moving at a slow speed through downtown Wayzata, but it still was not able to stop in time to avoid the collision, KARE 11 reported.
Several roads were closed and traffic was rerouted.
