Police investigating a crash between a bus and a car in Chisago County Friday morning say speed was likely a contributing factor.
The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says that the victims in the crash near Rush City were three men from the St. Paul area, who were occupants in the car.
Their families have been contacted, but their names won't be released until "definitive confirmation can be validated through medical records."
While the crash is still under investigation, the sheriff's office said late Friday that "speed appears to be a contributing factor to the crash."
After the vehicles collided, both of them started on fire.
There have been 27 deaths on Minnesota so far this year, which is one fewer than at the same time in 2020.
