Tuesdays will be half-price wing day at Buffalo Wild Wings

Wings at B-Dubs will be half price every Tuesday from now on.

After a successful trial in July, Minneapolis-based Buffalo Wild Wings is rolling out its half-price Tuesday offer to 1,100 restaurants across the U.S., it announced in a press release.

The offer applies to snack, small, medium and large traditional (so not boneless) wings, which come with ranch or blue cheese and celery or carrots.

Prices at B-Dubs will vary from state to state, but a small order of wings (that's 10) generally comes in at the $10-11 mark, meaning on Tuesdays they'll be $5-5.50, judging by FoodMenuGuru's price chart.

"Half-Price Wing Tuesdays is the perfect opportunity for our fans to gather with friends and family and try our many craveable sauces and seasonings," said Judy Shoulak, president of North America Buffalo Wild Wings, in the press release.

Stock market website The Street thinks the price-cutting promotion is in response to some poor performance reported earlier this year.

The site refers to a "lackluster stretch of sales for the once red-hot" restaurant chain, which actually came on the heels of rising prices for its wings and led to same store sales falling 2.1 percent during its second quarter.

The company's stock price plunged to $134 in mid-July, down from a $200 high a year earlier, but has since rebounded on the back of improved sales in July, as well as on the back of a new capital investment, CNBC reported.
