Twin Cities man drowned while fishing in northern Minnesota
A man who drowned while fishing in northern Minnesota earlier this week has been identified as a 65-year-old from Brooklyn Park.
The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office identified the victim of the drowning on Little Mantrap Lake, in Clover Township, the evening of Monday, July 12, as Bruce Moore.
Moore had been staying with relatively on the lake when he went out in a small fishing boat.
According to police, he had been having problems with the motor, which witnesses said "appeared to be going wide open across the lake when all of a sudden a loud bang was heard."

The boat was then seen going in circles, with a witness having seen Moore fall out of the boat.
Some witnesses approached Moore as he was in the water and threw him a lifejacket, but he went under before he could grab it.
One person jumped into the lake in an effort to save him, but couldn't reach him.
Moore's body was pulled from the lake after a 30-minute search in 16-feet of water.
