Twin Cities man killed in motorcycle crash in Wisconsin
A man from the Twin Cities has died after a motorcycle crash in northern Wisconsin.
The crash happened at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday, when first responders were called to State Highway 35 near Anderson Road in Summit, Wisconsin.
Witnesses reported seeing a southbound motorcycle leave the road, losing control on the gravel shoulder.
The bike then "tumbled" and slid across the road along with the driver, who has been identified as David Benassi, 68, of Vadnais Heights.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office saying he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident is under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
