Twin Cities man killed in snowmobile crash in northern Minnesota
A Twin Cities man was killed in northern Minnesota after crashing his snowmobile into a tree.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m. Saturday on the Paul Bunyan Trail in Pequot Lakes.
The victim, identified as 38-year-old Andrew Novak, of Prior Lake, died at the scene.
He was one of two men out snowmobiling when his 2007 Yamaha Phazer left the trail, crashing into a tree.
His friend attempted to revive him, with responders taking over when they got to the scene, but ultimately he died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
