Statues of several Minnesota Twins players that stand outside Target Field are ready for this wintry blast. They're bundled up in custom-knit sweaters, hats and scarves as they stand frozen in time.

The Associated Press reports that the life-size likenesses of Rod Carew, Kent Hrbek and Tony Oliva got the knitted goods courtesy of the Twin Cities’ active knitting community. The knitwear features the TwinsFest 2013 logo to help publicize the annual event, scheduled for next weekend and always eagerly anticipated by hot stove fans eager for spring training.
