Police are investigating the deaths of two people at a home in Ham Lake, Minnesota Wednesday morning.

Offices were called to the house 15900 block of Guadalcanal St. NE. at 9:24 a.m., with no information other than the address provided to dispatchers.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says deputies arrived at the scene "and believed they heard a gunshot from inside the residence."

They established a perimeter and unsuccessfully tried to make contact inside the home, and they eventually entered to find two dead bodies.

There is no indication yet as to the sex or age of the victims, nor how they came to die.

Police did say however there is no ongoing threat to the general public.
