Two girls, 14, seriously injured after being hit by car while crossing the road
Two girls have suffered severe injuries after they were struck by a vehicle as they crossed a street in St. Francis, Minnesota.
The collision happened at the intersection of Hwy. 47 and Pederson Drive Northwest at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday.
The two girls, both aged 14, were crossing the highway in a crosswalk when they were struck by a northbound vehicle driven by a 62-year-old man from Isanti, who stopped at the scene.
One of the girls was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she is in a critical condition.
The other was taken to Mercy Hospital and is in a serious condition.
The collision is under investigation by the St. Francis Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
