Two people were killed in a head-on crash in western Wisconsin early Friday morning.
The crash in Polk County happened on State Highway 48 east of County Road E just before 5 a.m.
A westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling west on Hwy. 48 in the eastbound lane, striking an eastbound Ford Ranger head on.
The force of the impact sent the Ranger in to the ditch, overturning as a result.
Both drivers were killed in the crash, with the Polk County Sheriff's Office saying they were declared dead at the scene.
Neither of the drivers have been identified. The incident is still under investigation.
