Two men die in incident outside FedEx facility, gun found at scene
Two men have died after being found unresponsive in Washington County early Monday morning, but police say they are not looking for any suspects.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says it was called at 2:26 a.m. to a report of two unresponsive people outside of 7 Long Lake Road in Mahtomedi, which is the address of FedEx Ground services.
Deputies arrived to find two men, one of whom was dead and the other of whom required life-saving measures. The second man later died in a local hospital.
The sheriff's office says a firearm was found at the scene, and says it's not looking for any suspects at this time.
The men have been identified as David Peterson, 49, from Blaine, and Jimmy Wilemon, 58, from Fulton, Mississippi.
It's not clear at this stage what links, if any, there are between the men and FedEx. BMTN has reached out to the company for comment.
