An intense house fire in St. Paul has left two of the city's firefighters injured.

The blaze broke out shortly after 7:00 am on the 1000 block of Bush Ave., according to a tweet from the St. Paul Fire Department:

The department says dozens of firefighters were on the scene for about four hours.

The fire is under investigation, but authorities says it's "presumed to be accidental."

There's no word yet on the injuries the two firefighters received, or their current conditions.

We're beginning to enter the most dangerous time of the year where house fires are concerned; according to the State Fire Marshal, "most home fires occur in the winter" due to increased use of heaters.
