U.S. marshals arrest suspect in deadly 2020 Rochester shooting
A man wanted in a homicide that happened in Rochester late last year has been apprehended.
It took place in the early-morning hours of October 30, 2020, at an apartment complex in Rochester, where two people were shot during a confrontation.
An 18-year-old man died, and a 20-year-old man was hospitalized as a result of the shooting. At the time, police said the shooter and the victims knew each other.
Now, over four months later, U.S. marshals have apprehended the suspect, who's been charged and identified as 21-year-old Ty’Jhuan Davis Anderson.
According to a news release from Rochester police, shared by KAAL-TV reporter Chad Corey, Anderson was arrested at a residence in Hennepin County:
He's charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder, and "felon in possession of a firearm."
The release identifies the deceased victim as Mikayal Gordon. Authorities have not disclosed any other information about the case yet.
