Superior Police announced Friday that they seized nearly 18 pounds of marijuana during a narcotics investigation last week that led to arrests and charges for four men.

WDIO reports police said they conducted an investigation into the illegal distribution of marijuana in Superior on Aug. 14.

One of them, Superior resident Marko John Garramone, 26, was bound over for arraignment Wednesday in Douglas County Circuit Court, reports the Superior Telegram.

Garramone faces four felony counts of delivering marijuana, one as a party to a crime. The other three facing charges are Danilo Polonia, 61, of Superior; Dakotah Hartshorn, 21, of Bennett; and Jonathan Polonia, 24, of Superior, reports the Telegram.

KDAL says the street value of the seized marijuana was estimated at 20 thousand dollars.

Danilo Polonia is accused of two felony counts of delivering marijuana and one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, according to the Superior paper. Hartshorn is facing a single felony charge of possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Both are slated to appear in court Wednesday for preliminary hearings. Jonathan Polonia was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

The criminal complaint says Garramone sold small amounts of marijuana during two drug buys monitored by Superior police. Following the second buy, he offered to give the buyer a better deal on the cost. The buyer then arranged to purchase a pound of marijuana, or “an elbow,” from Garramone for $800.

The Superior telegram also says that in addition to more than 17.5 pounds of marijuana, police also seized scales and $1,035 in cash.
