UPDATE 11:30 a.m.
Police in Barron County, Wisconsin, are continuing their appeal to the public for any information that could help them find "sweet and shy" 13-year-old Jayme Closs.
Jayme's parents James, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, were found dead at their home in rural Barron early Monday morning, with their daughter's disappearance prompting an Amber Alert on Monday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said that they were alerted to the scene by a 911 call made from a cellphone at the home, but revealed that nobody spoke on the call.
The last time Jayme was seen was on Sunday afternoon, when she attended a family gathering.
He is appealing to the public to report any suspicious behavior as they strive to find Jayme, who Fitzgerald described as a "sweet and shy 13 year old who enjoys dancing and sports."
"Every second counts in this case," he said, imploring residents to observe the behavior of those they know for anything unusual.
He said those involved in a crime may be acting differently, alter their routine, miss scheduled appointments, may suddenly leave town or even change their appearance.
Police released new pictures of the teenager Tuesday morning.
The FBI is involved in the investigation, Fitzgerald said. He also said they were following up on a report by Miami Police Department of a possible sighting in the Florida city yesterday.
Authorities still have teams at the site of her parents' homicides. Gunshots were reported, but an actual cause of death hasn't been confirmed yet.
"I haven't seen anything like this in rural western Wisconsin, we just don't see this, thankfully," he said.
The next update is expected at 4 p.m.
Tuesday 7:15 a.m.
There has been a possible sighting of missing Barron County 13-year-old Jayme Closs – in Miami.
Miami Police Department tweeted information late Monday night after a vehicle possibly with Wisconsin license plates was spotted in the Florida city that afternoon.
An Amber Alert was issued for Closs on Monday, after her parents James and Denise were found dead in a double homicide at their home in Barron, Wisconsin, about 45 miles east of the Minnesota border.
The Amber Alert didn't include any description of a vehicle involved in her disappearance, but Miami police said the report it had received included a black Ford Explorer with a possible Wisconsin license plate of 160WER.
Investigators in Barron County aren't convinced, however, according to FOX 9's Paul Blume.
She may have been seen on Monday afternoon at NW 27th Avenue and 11th Street in Miami, which is more than 1,700 miles from her home, but only a few miles southeast of Miami International Airport.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children also issued a release, saying that Closs was taken from her home early Monday morning, "likely with a gun."
The manner of her parents' death hasn't been confirmed, but the Barron County Sheriff's Office has said that gunshots were involved.
It isn't yet known who made the 911 call reporting their deaths at around 1 a.m. Monday.
Closs is described as 5-foot-tall, weighing 100 pounds, with green eyes, and blond or strawberry blond hair.
Anyone with information should call 911.
