UPS is looking for more than 900 seasonal employees in the Twin Cities to help with the surge in packages this time of year.
Earlier this fall, the shipping company said it planned to hire a total of 1,820 people in the Twin Cities.
“We’re preparing for a record peak holiday season. The COVID-19 pandemic has made our services more important than ever,” Chief Human Resources Officer Charlene Thomas said in September. “We will hire over 100,000 people for UPS’s traditional seasonal jobs, and anticipate a large number will move into permanent roles after the holidays.
"At a time when millions of Americans are looking for work, these jobs are an opportunity to start a new career with UPS," Thomas added.
Positions include drivers (starting at $20.50 per hour), package handlers ($15 an hour) and driver helpers ($20), with the greatest need in drivers and driver helpers.
Three UPS facilities in the Twin Cities metro are hiring. They are Minneapolis (3312 Broadway St. NE), Maple Grove (8501 Valley Forge Lane) and Shakopee (901 Canterbury Road).
