USDA closing 259 offices, including one in Minneapolis

Some people are worried about the future of food safety after news that the federal Agriculture Department is shuttering 259 of its offices nationwide. Ag chief Tom Vilsack says it's part of a plan to save the agency $150 million a year. A food safety inspector in Minneapolis, Andrew Lorenz, tells the AP "they wiped out the entire Midwest." His office handles all federal inspections of meat, poultry and egg products in Minnesota, the Dakotas and other states.
