Mike Pence has canceled his planned appearance in St. Paul on Thursday night, as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
The vice president had been scheduled to appear at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront hotel for a campaign event starting at 5 p.m.
However Pence's role as the lead on the Trump Administration's response to the coronavirus outbreak has forced him to alter his plans.
He'll instead be heading on Thursday evening to Washington state, which has been the location of the majority of America's fatal coronavirus cases.
However, he will still be in Minnesota earlier in the day, when he will pay a visit to 3M.
Maplewood-based 3M has been charged with manufacturing more of the respiratory masks required to protect healthcare workers during the COVID-19 outbreak, and prevent those already infected from spreading it further.
The Second Lady, Karen Pence, will still be in attendance at the St. Paul "Keep America Great" event.
