Man, 23, dies from injuries after stabbing in Jordan
A 23-year-old man has died after a stabbing in Sand Creek township on Monday afternoon, with another 23-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident.
According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, officers with the Jordan Police Department were called to the 4400 block of Cedar Valley Lane at 3:03 p.m. on a report of a stabbing with a knife.
When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old victim with life-threatening injuries. The victim was flown to the Hennepin County Medical Center.
On Tuesday evening, the sheriff's office confirmed he had died, and identified him as Casey Jeb Trutnau.
A 23-year-old Jordan man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault.
“Our investigators are working hard to obtain answers regarding the circumstances surrounding this incident,” Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen said in a statement.
“I anticipate that people will have questions about this incident and many of these questions will likely addressed in the County Attorney’s charging documents, if and when they are filed.”

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office has been notified that the 23-year-old victim of a stabbing that occurred in Sand Creek Township on December 21, 2020 has died of his injuries.
The victim, Casey Jeb Trutnau of Jordan, died early this morning at Hennepin County Medical Center after being airlifted there yesterday afternoon.
A 23-year-old male was arrested and booked in the Scott County Jail after the stabbing on the 4400 block of Cedar Valley Lane that occurred at approximately 3:03 p.m. yesterday.
This matter is under investigation and is being reviewed for potential criminal charges by the Scott County Attorney’s Office.
