Victim from Wednesday shooting in Minneapolis dies

It marks the 66th homicide of 2020 in Minneapolis.

A young adult died from injuries suffered in a shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday. 

According to Minneapolis Police Departments, the shooting happened on the 1800 block S. Nicollet Ave., where a young adult in his late teens was found shot multiple times. 

"Officers performed wound management until relieved by paramedics," Minneapolis PD said in a release. "The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by advanced life support ambulance."

On Thursday, homicide investigators were informed that the victim had died at the hospital. 

Investigators have interviewed a "number of people," according to the release, and evidence has been retrieved from the scene of the shooting. 

The victim's identity has not been released. 

It marks the 66th homicide of 2020 in Minneapolis and the second homicide from a Wednesday shooting. Also on Wednesday, a teenage victim was shot dead in north Minneapolis

No arrests have been made in either case.
