Authorities have identified the man killed in a crash in central Minnesota on Thursday.

Joshua Adam Torgeson, 42, of Shakopee, died when the Chevrolet utility truck he was driving crashed into the side of a Chevy Suburban at County Roads 9 and 127 between Willmar and Spicer.

Torgeson was found outside his truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Suburban, Traci Jo Jacobs, 40, of New London, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision and had to be extricated from her vehicle before being taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

A family friend of Jacobs' tells BMTN that these injuries include a broken pelvis, broken ribs, and a lacerated spleen.

Torgeson was driving eastbound on County Road 127 when his truck struck Jacobs' Chevy as she was traveling north on County Road 9.
