Victim of fatal Minneapolis fire ID'd as 39-year-old man

An investigation continues into how the fire started.

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal house fire in South Minneapolis 

Justin Schultz, 39, died in the blaze at 2501 24th Street East Thursday afternoon.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death as being from a combination of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

He was found in the first floor of the home by firefighters and died at the scene. Another man was found on the second floor and was rescued, being treated at the scene by paramedics.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, with the incident under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
