The victim in a fatal barn collapse in Iowa has been identified as a Minnesota man.

Humberto Jesus Lopez, of Worthington, was the victim of a structural failure that resulted in a barn collapsing at the Rembrandt Foods facility near Rembrandt, according to Buena Vista County Emergency Management.

The barn went down around 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14. Buena Vista County Emergency Management described it as a "catastrophic collapse of equipment within a barn."

Lopez was the lone person inside the barn at the time of the collapse.

Search and rescue operations began immediately after the collapse and lasted until 6 p.m., at which point the search was suspended due to "significant concerns for responder safety."

The recovery operation resumed the next morning, with Lopez's body found around 2 p.m. Saturday.
