Victim of January fatal crash in Woodbury is identified

The victim of a fatal crash in Woodbury in January has been identified as an 83-year-old man. 

Robert F. Weninger, of Inver Grove Heights, was involved in a two-vehicle collision Jan. 19. He died Jan. 31 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. 

The crash happened at the intersection of Lake Road and Woodwinds Drive, around 10:30 a.m., according to the medical examiner's report. 

The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lake Road and Woodwinds Drive, the examiner's office said. No further information about the crash has been released. 

According to an online obituary, Weninger served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen, four children and nearly two-dozen grandchildren.
