A stabbing victim is in critical condition after being attacked at a light rail station near the Mall of America on Tuesday night. 

According to Bloomington Police Department, the 31-year-old victim was stabbed several times at the 28th Avenue Station east of Mall of America around 9:40 p.m. Officers and first responders arrived and provided lifesaving treatment, with the victim then transported to HCMC where he was listed in critical but stable condition. 

A 31-year-old suspect with no permanent address was arrested a short time later, with Bloomington PD saying airport police assisted in the arrest. The suspect is in custody at the Bloomington Jail with an attempted murder charge pending. 

No further information has been released.
