A giant freighter pulled into port in Duluth overnight.
Video uploaded to YouTube (watch it below) shows the Baie St. Paul – a 750-foot Canadian cargo ship – arriving under the Duluth Lift Bridge just before midnight Thursday to load up on iron ore pellets.
The Great Lakes shipping season kicked off last weekend, when the Soo Locks at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, opened for business.
