Video: Truck cuts down light poles on interstate in Milwaukee, sends them crashing into oncoming traffic

It happened on Interstate 43 in the Milwaukee area.

Motorists in Milwaukee were lucky to escape injury when two light poles came crashing down around them on Interstate 43.

The frightening highway footage from last Friday was obtained by WISN's Ben Hutchison, showing a red truck careen onto a concrete median barrier and snapping two tall light poles like twigs in the process.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that several vehicles were damaged and traffic on Interstate 43 was backed up for hours.

The driver of the truck was arrested after police put him through field-sobriety tests, WISN notes
