Video: Vehicle crashes into St. Paul restaurant

The fire department is on scene addressing a gas leak.

A driver crashed into Los Ocampo restaurant in St. Paul Thursday afternoon, prompting a gas leak. 

The St. Paul Police Department tweeted at 12:36 p.m. saying officers and the St. Paul Fire Department responded to University Avenue at Dale for a vehicle the crashed into the restaurant. 

Here's the path the motorist took prior to crashing into the restaurant, which included going up on the sidewalk, crashing into a tree, driving down the sidewalk and into the restaurant: 

The driver is being treated at Regions Hospital in St. Paul for what are believed to be injuries that aren't life-threatening. 

Meanwhile, the St. Paul FD is working to stop a gas leak. People have been asked to avoid the area.
