Walmart in Minnesota evacuated after report of gun-wielding man inside
Less than a week after 22 people were killed and more than two dozen others injured in a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, a Walmart in Minnesota was evacuated Thursday after a report of a man with a gun inside.
"Walmart was evacuated and briefly closed today at 12:20pm due to a call of a man with a gun," Dilworth Police Department said in a Facebook post. "The store was searched and no one matching the description was found."
Police allowed the Walmart to reopen and said "there is no risk to the community."
According to Bailey Hurley of Valley News Live, police are attempting to get in contact with the person who called 911 reporting the gun wielding man, but attempts had been unsuccessful.
Police were also reviewing surveillance video as part of their investigation.
Dilworth is located just east of Fargo-Moorhead.
