Old Country Buffet auctioned off a bunch of its leftovers

If you love Old Country Buffet and are distraught at the idea of only one being left in the state of Minnesota now, there's some good-ish news: You can take a piece of the restaurant home with you, forever.

You need to hurry though. (Edit: The auction ended at noon Thursday, so it's over now.)

Dozens of items from the recently closed Duluth and Mankato locations are up for auction online, via the site Auction Nation.

(Note the auction is not "Pay one price, take all you want" like the food was.)

A lot of this stuff is industrial kitchen appliances (bakery racks, a lettuce chopper, giant fryers, huge ovens, metal shelving, etc. etc.). But there are some possible home gems.

Like this Maple Creamery soft serve ice cream machine at the Mankato location (current bid at $110 as of about 8 a.m.).

Or what looks like an absolutely ridiculous amount of Crayons from the Duluth auction ($30 as of 8 a.m.).

If you're interested, hurry up – the items have to be picked up on site by the end of the week.
