Warning after man beaten, robbed on University of Minnesota campus

University of Minnesota have issued a warning after a man was attacked and robbed in broad daylight on the West Bank campus.

The assault happened at 6:40 p.m. Saturday at 19th Avenue South and 4th Street South, on the west side of the Carlson School of Management.

Two suspects reportedly followed the victim from West Bank Grocery to the bus stop by the Carlson School, and they then punched him in the face.

The victim fell to the ground where he was then kicked, before the suspects took the cellphone from his hand.

His attackers then ran west into the Cedar Riverside neighborhood.

The victim was treated by paramedics on the scene, but refused further medical attention.

Police are looking for witnesses or information about the suspects.
