Watch: Boat's throttle gets stuck, crashes into launch on Lake Minnetonka
A boat owner crashed into the dock at the Grays Bay boat launch on Lake Minnetonka Monday, causing damage to the dock and another boat.
The incident happened around 1:48 p.m. when the boat owner said the throttle got stuck open and they were unable to stop the boat, Jeremy Zoss of the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office told Bring Me The News.
Video shared to Instagram shows what happened:
Zoss said no injuries were reported and alcohol and drugs were not involved. The boat driver wasn't cited for a crime, but was advised he may be contacted for damages to the dock and the other boat.
This isn't the only incident to happen at the Gray's Bay boat launch this boating season. Earlier in May, a van ended up in the lake, completely underwater, when someone was trying to launch their boat on Lake Minnetonka, according to social media posts.
