Gov. Tim Walz is giving Minnesota his latest update on the state's response to the coronavirus pandemic at a Friday press conference.

The governor will be speaking after announcing on Friday that he will be loosening his Stay at Home order to allow more outdoor recreation businesses to re-open.

But his press conference also comes on the day that Minnesota recorded record high deaths and new cases for a single-day period, with 17 deaths and 159 new cases confirmed.
