Minneapolis Police Department Chief Medaria Arradondo is testifying for the prosecution in Derek Chauvin's murder trial.

Arradondo fired Chauvin and the other three officers involved in George Floyd's death last May and in a statement last June he called Floyd's death "murder."

In opening statements, the prosecution said Arradondo won't "mince any words" when it comes to his testimony. "He’s very clear. He will be very decisive, that this was excessive force."
