Watch live: The one-armed skydiver tries to jump out of a plane 300 times
A Minnesota man is attempting to set a world record for the number of times he jumps out of an airplane in 24 hours.
Kevin Burkart, who lost the use of an arm in a snowmobiling accident a few years ago, is skydiving to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s disease in honor of his father.
He's hoping to complete 300 jumps by Thursday morning, and the National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota is streaming some of them live on Facebook.
He finished his first jump just after 8:30 a.m. – the start of the 24-hour record attempt was delayed a few hours due to weather.

This isn't Burkart's first time doing a skydive marathon – in 2008, he completed 100 skydives in a day, raising $48,000. Two years later, he jumped out of a plane 150 times, raising $78,000.
