Wu-Tang founding member Raekwon has proven time and time again over the past quarter-century that when he takes his time to put something together, he can drop something exceptionally hot. The video for his new single with G-Eazy, "Purple Brick Road" brings Staten Island that much closer to Oakland and puts the Shaolin/Bay Area connection is in full effect.
Over a glossy production, Rae's gritty verses stand in great contrast to the pristine west coast visuals. Seen on G-Eazy's glamorous home turf, Eazy closes the track dropping numerous Raekwon references in his bar, giving props to "The Chef" along the way.
"Purple Brick Road" is the lead single from Raekwon's The Wild, which is also set to feature Lil Wayne and Cee-Lo Green, out March 24.
