Wayzata steakhouse owner will give away $25 gift cards at free COVID vaccine event

Those who register for an appointment will also be entered to win concert tickets.

The owner of Gianni's Steakhouse in Wayzata is hosting a free vaccine clinic on Aug. 30, and is offering some freebies to incentivize people to get the shot.

Terri Huml Fox, who owns the popular Lake Street restaurant, is encouraging people who haven't gotten the vaccine to get the shot. And to sweeten the deal, she's offering a $25 Gianni's gift card to the first 250 people who get the jab.

Those who register online to get the COVID-19 vaccine (you can register here) will also be entered into a raffle for tickets to the upcoming Wayzata Beach Bash, with headliners ZZ Top and Brantley Gilbert. (Note: walk-ins are also welcome to get the shot.)

The free vaccine event will be held from 2-6 p.m. at the Boatworks building, 294 Grove Lane E. The clinic will be offering the Pfizer vaccine, which recently got full FDA approval

The clinic is open to people ages 12 and older.
