The Detroit Lakes-based country music festival WE Fest is banking on Minnesota returning to live music by early August.

Monday, WE Fest announced its 37th annual festival will take place at Soo Pass Ranch near Detroit Lakes Aug. 5-7, with headliners Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton.

Of course, much depends on how the coronavirus situation will look by then. Many local organizations have yet to announce plans for their annual events.

Rock the Garden, the major festival by The Current and Walker Art Center, has already announced it does not plan to return in 2021.

"Fans are encouraged to watch the website and social media channels for the latest information," a press release for WE Fest says.
