It was the photo shared 'round the world – Saber Miresmailli was vacationing in London when he spotted a couple standing on Tower Bridge.
The pair of newlyweds was alone, with no wedding party or professional photographer in sight. The couple shared a tender moment and Miresmailli, stuck in traffic, seized the opportunity to capture it.
"Usually, my pictures are not very good given the fact that I don’t use flash and I don’t stop to compose," the amateur photographer told Yahoo! News. "So when we get back after two weeks, I was very surprised to see this one shot turned out so well."
His next idea launched thousands of shares. "I thought to myself, if it was me getting married, I would have wanted the picture."
Miresmailli took to social media, imploring Facebook users (see the original post above) to share the photo in hopes of finding the mystery couple.
Nearly 300,000 shares later, it seems the couple in the fairytale-like photo will get their happy ending.
A Twitter user identified the bride as his cousin Laura, posting a separate follow-up image of the couple on their honeymoon in southeast Asia.
As for Miresmailli, all's well that end's well.
"Seems we managed to find our couple," he said in a post on Facebook. "I wish you guys many, many years of happy and prosperous life. Will send you the picture when you come back."
