Another April snow storm appears to be headed to Minnesota, this time to the northeastern part of the state including the Iron Range, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

According to the the National Weather Service office in Duluth, a winter storm watch has been issued for much of northeastern Minnesota for Sunday.

Word of the watch comes only a day after Duluth was blasted with snow and heavy winds, which produced whiteout conditions.

Starting as rain in central Minnesota Sunday morning, the weather pattern is expected to move to areas north of Duluth to the Canadian border and will snow about 8 to 10 inches.

Duluth is expected to get about six inches of snow in the storm, which is expected to peak in the afternoon and dissipate late Sunday. Winds are not expected to be a factor like the Thursday storm, the News Tribune reports.

It's been a big week for snow in several parts of the state. The unusual April wintry weather started to roll in Wednesday and hit full force Thursday -- resulting in slow commutes, crashes on the roads, 150 canceled flights at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and more than 100 schools closing in the lower half of the state.

Some parts of the southern part of the state lost power, and much of Worthington remains powerless after severe ice storms. Power in the city isn't expect to be back up until early next week.
