The FBI is asking for help from the public as it investigates last weekend's knife attack that left 10 people injured and the attacker dead.

Agents are especially interested in any cellphone video of the rampage that ended when Dahir Adan, 20, was fatally shot by an off-duty police officer.

A statement released by the Bureau Thursday evening reads in part:

"The FBI Minneapolis Field Office requests assistance from the public regarding the Crossroads Mall knife attacks. Specifically, the FBI asks any person who was present at the Crossroads Mall during the evening of September 17th to contact the FBI with any information or cell phone video which they may possess. This information is vital to the thorough review and analysis of the incident currently being undertaken by the FBI, with assistance from the Saint Cloud Police Department."

Anyone with information to share is asked to use the phone number 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Investigators with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force took over as the lead agency on the case this week, although they're getting help from the St. Cloud Police Department.

The FBI said after Saturday night's attack they were treating it as a potential act of terrorism.

The FBI visited the St. Cloud school district this week. A school board member who accompanied them told the St. Cloud Times it was both a part of the investigation and an extra security measure.
