What's the deal with Jerry Seinfeld coming to MN in January?

Seinfeld is bringing his jokes about nothing to the Orpheum.

Jerry Seinfeld is bringing his stand-up routine to Minneapolis.

The man who's known for making jokes about nothing will perform three shows at the Orpheum Theatre in January, Hennepin Theatre Trust announced Friday.

His first show is Jan. 19 at 7 p.m., followed by two shows on Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $50-$150, and you can buy them online through Ticketmaster here starting at 10 a.m. Oct. 21. (A pre-sale begins Oct. 19.)

Seinfeld last performed in Minneapolis three years ago, and he continues to be one of the most popular comedians out there, the Star Tribune says.

His Crackle series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" – where he drives around with celebrities, and they drink coffee – received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Variety Talk Series last spring, marking the series' first Emmy nomination in a major competitive category, CNN Money reported.

Some of Seinfeld's celebrity guests on the show have included Will Ferrell, Steve Martin and President Barack Obama.
