Angle Inlet, Minn., is the most northern town in the lower 48 states. According to photographer Jerry Eklund, the only way you can drive there is to leave Minnesota, enter Canada and drive for about 60 miles through Manitoba and then re-enter Minnesota at a remote checkpoint, named Jim's Corner.

As Jerry puts it: "Jim's Corner is an unmanned checkpoint which consists of a small building with a videophone. You pick up the phone and then you'll speak to a border patrol officer. After they verify your information, you're on your way."
