Man accidentally shoots, injures adult son at Wis. gun range

Central Wisconsin law officers say a man accidentally shot and critically injured his 25-year-old son while the father was clearing his weapon at a rifle range, the Associated Press reports.

Investigators say 53-year-old Stephen Sammartino's weapon accidentally went off, and Joseph Sammartino was shot in the back. The son was airlifted to a hospital. He remained in critical condition, WQOW in Eau Claire, reported Monday.
