A 28-year-old Wisconsin man has been arrested in connection to the death of his 6-week-old son on Feb. 19.

According to the Menomonie, Wisconsin, Police Department, police on March 1 arrested the father in connection to his son's death. He was booked into Dunn County, Wisconsin, Jail on probable charges of first-degree reckless homicide.

The man's arrest stems from an incident on Feb. 19. At 11:36 p.m., police responded to 2421 4th Ave. N on a report of a disorderly man.

The man let police inside his apartment, where they found his 6-week-old son "pulse-less and not breathing."

Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Officer on Feb. 20 determined Daemyn Michael Lucas' death was a homicide.

Police on March 1 said they had arrested the 28-year-old father in connection to the boy's death. He's currently in the Dunn County, Wisconsin, Jail, on probable charges of first-degree reckless homicide.

Police say the investigation is still active. No other details about the infant's death have been released.

The father had not been formally charged as of Tuesday morning. The man's criminal history in Wisconsin includes charges related to domestic abuse, battery, drugs and bail jumping.
