After Supreme Court loss, Wisconsin's Scott Walker fears a 'blue wave' in November

The Democratic candidate easily won the election for the state's Supreme Court.

After seeing his candidate for the state Supreme Court soundly beaten by their liberal opponent, Scott Walker fears for November.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday morning, the Wisconsin governor tried to rally supporters by expressing concern over a #BlueWave forming in Wisconsin ahead of November's mid-term elections.

Walker is running for re-election as governor after winning by just over 5 points in 2014, but with Democratic candidates winning in special elections all over the country since President Donald Trump's election, his chances of a third-term are now under threat.

"Tonight's results show we are at risk of a #BlueWave in WI," Walker tweeted after Rebecca Dallet won election to the state Supreme Court by 12 points. "The Far Left is driven by anger & hatred – we must counter it with optimism & organization. Let's share our positive story with voters & win in November."

He blamed Tuesday's loss on "big government special interests" that he says "flooded Wisconsin with distorted facts & misinformation," and worries that "next, they'll target me and work to undo our bold reforms."

Time reports that Wisconsin Democratic Party Chairwoman Martha Laning said Dallet's win was a "huge loss" for Walker because his "endorsement, philosophy and politics were on the ballot."

Walker posted later tweets hailing his administration's achievements during his time i office.
