Woman, 2 girls airlifted to hospital after train hits car

Three people have been airlifted to hospital after their vehicle was struck by a train in Otter Tail County.

The sheriff's office reports that two girls were among those taken by helicopter for treatment following the crash at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at 460th Street and Otter Tail County.

A woman was also flown to hospital. They were three out of the four people who were in the car at the time of the crash.

No update on the condition of the fourth has been released.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with police not having released any information about the identities of the victims, or about the severity of their injuries.
