A woman was injured in St. Louis County at the weekend when a gun she was disassembling went off accidentally.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says it was called to a house on the 3100 block of Hwy. 53 in Central Lakes at 8:39 p.m. Saturday.

It was there they fund a 32-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her leg, with the victim telling police the handgun had gone off as she disassembled it.

She was taken to a hospital in Duluth for treatment. Police say no charges will be filed in the incident.
